MASQUERADE
As the only child of a very wealthy couple, Alex inherited his parents' wealth at a very young age due to their untimely accidental deaths. Though a very brilliant mind, he was just a young adult given the responsibilities of maintaining his parents' wealth and carrying on their legacies. Nonetheless, he went on to do a job his parents would be very proud of.
Alex did an excellent job in not just maintaining his parents' wealth, but also multiplying it. With business degrees from some of the best universities, he ran two businesses that quickly grew to double their workforces in less ... than five years. He met a very attractive employee of one of businesses whom he started dating. As time went by, Alex and Amelia fell in love and eventually became married. Their family soon grew when their children Preston, Desire` and Donald were born within ten years after their wedding.
Despite their successful enterprises and wealth, the Wilsons quickly found out that it took more than just money and power to raise the “perfect family”. Like in most families, the Wilsons kids had their fair share of common sibling rivalries. As they grew older, the rivalries between the Wilsons boys became more passionate. It soon became apparent to them that their rivalries may have been more than just that, when they discovered a secret about their dad. Even more interesting was that the secret involved not only their dad, but almost every member of the family.
While they were trying to find solutions to their problems, more family secrets came to light. And the fact that Alex didn't find out that he was adopted until his children were grown, was the least of their secrets. He began to wonder if the secrets in his family had their roots far beyond his own immediate family members. Was it a curse, or an oath that his parents took with them to their graves? “Masquerade” is about a family’s story involving secrets on many different levels. Deceptions and mistrust caused serious rifts amongst immediate family members. However, hope and reconciliation are realized after decades old mysteries are brought to light. Just when you think the story couldn’t get any more interesting, a new twist is thrown in. Family, secrets, scandals, identity, disappearance and redemption are at the heart of this mysterious story.
